Kevin started practicing in Victoria, BC in the spring of 1988 after graduating from Vancouver’s Langara College earlier that year. Kevin enjoyed following in his father’s footsteps (Malcolm A. Lee, founder of PVR) working with Victoria-based Premiere Verbatim Reporting Ltd. as a generalist reporter before striking out on his own to pursue realtime court reporting when he formed Lee Realtime Reporting Inc. Professionally Kevin has reported at all levels of court over his career and attended upon all varieties of freelance contract proceedings in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario, specializing in complex litigation including aboriginal law, construction, malpractice and wrongful dismissal torts, as well as CART captioning all varieties of major professional sports leagues and newscasts for live-to-air television broadcasts. Having reported at ground-breaking B.C. trail lawsuits such as Rodriquez v. British Columbia (Attorney General), the “War in the Woods” at Clayoquot Sound, CART Captioning on Parliament Hill at the Senate of Canada and captioning Sidney Crosby’s “Golden Goal” at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver or most recently the Chicago Cubs memorable 2016 seven-game World Series win, Kevin brings a wealth of experience and know-how to every assignment. An ardent patriot of his trade. Kevin is dedicated to advancing the art and vocation that is broadcast captioning, CART and court reporting.
Paula began her career in the early 1990s reporting circuit court for the government of the Northwest Territories, working all varieties and at all levels of court across Canada’s north while exploring that vast country from Inuvik to Iqaluit. Paula returned home to Edmonton to complete the diplomate program at Canada’s premiere court reporting education institution at NAIT, and was awarded their critically acclaimed accreditation in the spring of 1994. She continued to work under contract for the government of the NWT before moving to the West Coast in the summer of 1995, where she began working with Victoria-based Premiere Verbatim Reporting Ltd. as a generalist reporter. Paula joined Lee Realtime Reporting Inc. in 1999.
